PermSelect® silicone membrane modules use silicone hollow fibers with exceptional gas transfer properties. Because silicone is dense (non-porous), liquids cannot grossly transfer through the membrane. This enables silicone's use in liquid contacting applications with all compatible liquids regardless of surface tension. Moreover, the dense membrane also provides a means for separating gases due to the permeability difference between gases in silicone, and more specifically as provided by the separation factor.

PermSelect® membrane modules provide a highly efficient radial flow design through a densely packed bundle of uniformly spaced apart hollow fibers. Our membrane modules are available commercially with membrane surface areas of ten centimeters square, 2,500 centimeters square, 7,500 centimeters square, 1.0 and 2.1 meters square.
