In general, cleaning procedures are established by the user, and we cannot guarantee the membrane will not develop leaks after one or more cleaning cycles. The most gentle cleaning process is with a mild detergent solution which you may circulate on the process fluid side of the membrane. However, depending on the type of residue you have on the membrane (i.e., organic/inorganic) you may be able to use a 10% bleach solution to soak or recirculate the membrane for 1 hour, and then rinse with running water.
You may also use a mild base solution (NaOH at pH 12) or mild acid solution of citric or hydrochloric (< 30%) acid at pH=1. Recirculate or soak for 30 min to 1 hour and then rinse for 30 min to one hour.
Please make sure you do not exceed the pressure limits when cleaning as the membrane can also be damaged in this process
