White Paper Describing Bubble Free Aeration Study Published

The objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of replacing or supplementing conventional bubble sparging for cell culture aeration with bubble-free gas transfer using a silicone membrane gas exchanger.

This study also establishes practical start-up and operating guidelines for implementing bubble-free membrane gas transfer in mammalian cell culture bioreactors.  Collectively, the findings demonstrate the potential of membrane-based, bubble-free gas transfer as an alternative aeration strategy for upstream bioprocessing.
